When antivirus software is not enough…
Last week in USA Today there was an article highlighted that exposed a hacking case at Yale University. In a nutshell approximately 43,000 faculty, staff, student, and alumni of Yale Universities’ personal information was breached. The breach was assisted by using a relatively new feature on Google called FTP search that searches and indexes corporate FTP sites and archives these sites to its search index. This breach exposes the fact that many networks are either not secure or have individual places with sensitive documents in a publicly facing area that should have been secured.
